With awards season upon us it’s hard not to be inspired by the celebs style in fashion and in jewelry! I believe the looks debuted at the Golden Globes, The Grammys and The Oscars set the stage for the year ahead and as for the 2016 jewelry trends, the Golden Globes did not disappoint.
STATEMENT NECKLACE
Between J. Lo’s 200-carat ensemble and J. Law’s delicately-detailed-dripping-in-diamonds choker, the statement necklace was certainly a staple at the award shows this year. Worn close to the neck and usually in white gold, these necklaces are out of this world, but they’re not out of reach. One designer that’s done a great job creating this look is Hearts On Fire …
Made of 18K white gold with 18.25 carats of diamonds the Aerial Elegance Necklace delivers a clean look with a bold amount of shine.
Hearts On Fire also brings us the Aerial Diamond Collar, shown here in Rose Gold. This stunning necklace includes sparkling diamonds that total to 30.6 carats. I should also mention that each diamond is perfectly cut … impressive.
BLUE STONES
Being a beach girl myself a calming blue gem has always been a winner in my book. Luckily, this year they’re right on trend, SCORE! Did anyone notice Sofia Vergara, Emma Roberts, or Heidi Klum rocking some serious turquoise on the red carpet at the Globes?
If you’re on board with the blues, check out these looks from Corinne Jewelers …

TASSEL EARRINGS
I’ve been noticing tassel earrings a lot lately and I have to say, I love their versatility! From hippie mama to urban bombshell – these earrings are chameleons to their wearer.
Officina Bernardi makes this stunning two-tone pair that will frame your gorgeous face, without breaking the bank. This style also comes in silver, yellow, rose & white-rose two tone. No matter which color combo you chose they’re all under $300, so you can’t go wrong!
THE CUFF
From cuff rings to cuff bracelets, my trendy little heart can’t take it! If you’re looking for a jewelry piece to make you feel more youthful, this is it.
KC Designs out of NYC makes a beautiful collection of cuff rings and bracelets, many of which are under $1,000. Made of 14k yellow gold this cuff bar bangle features 28 sparkling diamonds. All for $990!
Another piece that I love is this 14K white gold, diamond cuff bangle from Gabriel & Co for $4,905. It features 1.74 carats of diamonds in a unique, criss-cross design so it’s like having two hot bracelets for the price of one!
Don’t need one with diamonds? Freida Rothmans achieves the look for only $135 with this Mother of Pearl Slice Open Cuff.
And now for cuff rings …
When it comes to cuff-styled rings, Simon G did it right with this 18k rose gold leaf design. Wear it above or below the knuckle. With nearly 0.25 carats of diamonds, you’re going to sparkle either way. This comes to us from part of the Simon G. Garden Collection and retails for $1386.
It’s hard to choose just ONE cuff ring from KC Designs, but in the spirit of Valentine’s Day I’m going to say hello, cupid. Featuring an arrow design with six little diamonds, this ring delivers a lot of sparkle for just $700.
And, the jewelry trend that I am betting on in 2016 …
PEEK-A-BOO EARRINGS

Available in a variety of materials and designs, these optical illusions are appropriate for all ages. If you have yet to jump on the peek-a-book train, check out these pieces from Gabriel & Co …

Featuring a beautiful leaf design these 14K yellow gold, these peek-a-boo earrings are complete with 0.36 carats of diamonds. Get this look for $1070.
I love both of these designs for two reasons, 1) they are adjustable (notice the two holes) and 2) they can be paired with ANY pair of studs. Perfect those days when you want to mix things up a bit!
Cheers to the New Year and new fashion trends. If you have any questions about any of the pieces I’ve mentioned, don’t hesitate to reach out. And now, we wait until the next red carpet event …
