As I get older, the years only seem to get shorter. Does anyone else feel this way? Life sure is a whirlwind, but as Ryan and I look back at 2015 we are so proud of our growing store, and our growing family. Here’s a recap …
BABIES
This year R started preschool. Her social and cognitive development has already exceeded our expectations (and she’s only three months in). We cannot say enough positive things about her school and her teachers. Most importantly, she is safe and happy at school, which is such a relief.
Over the past year M has grown from a baby to a walking, talking toddler. I’m not gonna lie, it’s a handful to have a stubborn toddler that bosses me around, BUT this girl is freakin’ adorable, smart, and has the best sense of humor.
Baby boy bump is also doing well and growing by the hour, it seems 😉
BLING
When it comes to jewelry new styles and trends emerge every year. Some stay, while others go. Based on our sales numbers, and your requests, we’ve narrowed down our top trends, pieces and designers in 2015. It will be interesting to see how these change in 2016!
Custom Jewelry
I was doing a bit of research lately and found myself reading the ‘Top 10 Trends from The Knot 2015 Proposal and Wedding Jewelry Trends Study’. Glancing through it I was excited to see that customization has become increasingly important for both brides AND grooms. This might just explain why the Corinne Custom Design Department has been so successful. We certainly couldn’t do it without our talented Custom Sketch Designer (and Store Manager), Allison Berlin. Allison has been helping customer’s design their personal creations for more than 20 years and they always turn out amazing. Kudos!

Outside of our in-house design services, almost all of the designers that we carry offer customization options as well (cyber high five). In addition to a growing demand for custom pieces, at the store we realized quite a few other trends as well.
Top Engagement Ring // The Halo
The Knot reported that the number one engagement ring style for 2015 was the halo. Looking back at our sales numbers, we have to say that we agree. It’s such a beautiful look and if you ask me, it never gets old!

Top Diamond Jewelry Set // Hearts On Fire
Looking back at 2015, one thing is for certain … our customers love their diamonds. While we have so many beautiful pieces on the floor, this year Hearts On Fire took the lead. The way these diamonds reflect light, it’s no wonder why this set was a top seller.

Top Fun Fashion Piece // Les Interchangeables Bracelets
Available in a variety of colors and styles, the Les Interchangeables line is a great way to express your unique style. I especially love the addition of Swarovski crystals for added sparkle.

Most Impressive Designer // Anna Maria Camilli
When it comes to designers, Anna Maria Camilli blew it out of the water this year. Based out of Florence, Italy, we are one of only eight Anna Maria Camilla retailers in the nation. We can barely keep their pieces in stock!

Anna Maria Camilli, Flowers Design, Ninphea
COMMUNITY
This past year Corinne Jewelers had the opportunity to team up with some amazing charities, including: Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, The American Cancer Society, The Citta Foundation at Community Medical Center, The People’s Pantry Fundraiser at Chef Mike’s ABG, and many more.
One of the most fun events that we hosted in town this year was our Mother’s Day Custom Design Contest at North Dover Elementary. It was such a success that we are hoping to expand this to all of the local elementary schools in 2016. The ability to bring a child’s sketch to life for their mother was a touching experience. And, the decision didn’t come easy. Especially considering all of the tears that we shed while we were looking through the entries. Great job to all of the kids!
In summary, 2015 was a great year and looking back I can’t help but feel grateful for our family, our staff, our customers, and this amazing community. Ryan and I wish you all a happy and healthy 2016. Thank you for your love and support as we BLING in the New Year together!
